Henrik Ibsen

Montaag was commissioned to create a “Low Poly” bust of the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen, by the Ibsen museum in Skien, Norway for their new exhibit on the life and journey of Ibsen. I worked closely with Karoline Boman of Montaag’s Oslo office to create modern portrayal of Ibsen that respected Scandinavian tradition. They were receptive to the low polygon concept and from there I knew the only way to get an accurate likeness with such low definition was to first start with a sculpted bust and use software to generate a low poly mesh. The bust is now displayed in the museums new exhibit and smaller versions are also available in the museums gift shop.
